HILLS OF THE CHER VALLEY
TOURS (37) - 2005 - 2007
CLIENT: City of Tours, Department of Parks and Gardens.
BRIEF: Offices, change rooms, workshops, garages, amenities and outdoor maintenance areas.
BUILDING AREA: 520 m2
COST: 465.000 €
The site is located to the south of Tours, on the plain formed between the Loire and Cher rivers, in proximity to the blocks of multi-storey social housing.
Taking directional cues, perpendicular to the avenue Stendhal and the rivers; our project developed the different components of the brief along a north-south spine.
The composition, restructures the western zones of the project, creating a service courtyard and reinforces the existing geometry. The orientation also correlates with the existing hedge, the railway line and the neighboring building.
